Fachstelle für Flüchtlinge mit Behinderungen und ältere Flüchtlinge

With this project, we are continuing our work from the project 'Life Worth Living" as a specialist centre for refugees with disabilities, chronic illnesses and traumatisation and their relatives in the Berlin Network for Particularly Vulnerable Refugees - BNS. We focus on direct social and psychological counselling and support. We provide advice regardless of age and type of impairment.

We offer:

• Orientation interview to clarify disability-specific support needs.
• Certification of the need for protection due to disability and/or trauma in accordance with the EU Reception Directive
• Context-related social work assistance, psychosocial counselling and support in the implementation of socio-legal claims.
• Support with applications for severe disability and other disability-specific concerns
• Holistic concept of psychological support at the intersection of health and participation in life in the community,
• Dealing with stressful situations, building future perspectives and crisis intervention.
• Empowerment on the peer level: arranging conversations with peers to strengthen personal self-esteem and self-advocacy.
